Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a team focused on building and scaling modern video technology solutions.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React, along with experience developing scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems. This role requires someone comfortable working across the entire stack, solving complex technical challenges, and contributing to cloud-based, high-performance applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Design and build scalable backend services, APIs, and asynchronous workflows.
• Work with browser-based technologies and complex frontend application flows.
• Develop applications operating in cloud-native and containerized environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across frontend, backend, databases, and infrastructure.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Work with SQL databases, including schema design, migrations, indexing, and query optimization.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Improve system observability through monitoring, logging, dashboards, and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity and code quality.

Qualifications

Required:

• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) C1.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong backend development experience using Node.js (NestJS, Express, or similar frameworks).
• Strong frontend development experience with React and modern web technologies.
• Experience designing and building production APIs and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming concepts, including promises, async/await, queues, retries, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong experience with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience working in cloud and containerized environments.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting production systems.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from design through delivery.

Nice to Have:

• Deep understanding of Node.js internals (event loop, streams, worker threads, async model).
• Experience with Golang.
• Experience with video streaming technologies such as WebRTC, MediaRecorder, WebAudio, or FFmpeg.
• Experience with browser automation tools such as Playwright or Puppeteer.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, GCP, Kafka, Pub/Sub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with performance profiling and optimization.
• Previous experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.
