Role Summary 

We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Consultant to help architect, implement, and scale modern enterprise solutions built on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

In this role, you will work closely with clients, enterprise architects, and delivery teams to design and develop scalable integrations, platform extensions, APIs, and cloud-native applications that modernize ERP landscapes. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with consulting capabilities and enjoys solving complex business challenges through innovative platform solutions.

This is a hands-on consulting role for professionals passionate about SAP innovation, cloud technologies, enterprise integration, and digital transformation.

 

Responsibilities

SAP BTP Solution Design & Delivery

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Build scalable integrations, extensions, and data services across SAP and non-SAP environments.
• Develop cloud-native applications using SAP CAP, Kyma, Cloud Foundry, and SAP Integration Suite.
• Create and maintain API-based integrations, middleware services, and event-driven solutions.
• Support side-by-side extension development for SAP S/4HANA and other ERP platforms.
• Ensure solutions follow best practices for scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.

Architecture & Platform Engineering

• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable platform architectures.
• Design API-first, microservices-based, and event-driven solutions.
• Contribute to enterprise architecture initiatives involving integration frameworks, orchestration engines, and data platforms.
• Support ERP modernization efforts through modular and cloud-based platform services.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging SAP and cloud technologies.

Client Engagement & Consulting

• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for platform-driven transformation.
• Provide technical guidance on SAP BTP strategy, roadmap planning, and implementation best practices.
• Participate in workshops, discovery sessions, and solution design activities.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Serve as a trusted advisor throughout project delivery and solution adoption.

Delivery & Collaboration

• Collaborate with architects, developers, integration specialists, and project teams.
• Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation artifacts.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge-sharing across teams.

Technical Requirements

Must-Have Skills

• 3–7+ years of experience working with SAP technologies, enterprise integration platforms, or related enterprise systems.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
• Experience designing and building APIs, integrations, or middleware solutions.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or other ERP ecosystems.
• Experience with cloud-native application development and microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and distributed systems.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience collaborating directly with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and consulting skills.

Desired Skills

• Experience with SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite, CPI, or API Management.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms, orchestration engines, or data architecture initiatives.
• Familiarity with integration patterns across hybrid cloud environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Kyma, Kubernetes, or containerized application environments.
• Programming experience with Java, Node.js, or Python.
• SAP BTP certifications or other SAP-related certifications.
• Experience supporting ERP modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and platform engineering practices.
